The Associated Church Press is governed by a board elected by the membership at the annual convention. The board meets twice each year, with the Executive Committee of the board meeting more frequently as needed. The day-to-day activities of the association are carried out by Executive Director Joe Thoma and Associate Director Catherine Kohn.

Gayla has been a writer for The Banner (Christian Reformed Church) for 30 years, and has served as its full time News Editor since 2002. That role includes managing a network of 20 regional correspondents across North America. Prior to 2002, she wrote for Canadian publications both Christian and secular, and for corporate and not-for-profit clients.
Jennifer Rash
The Alabama Baptist
Jennifer Davis Rash is the executive editor of The Alabama Baptist and has been with the newspaper since 1996. She assists Dr. Bob Terry in managing the operations of The Alabama Baptist as well as oversees the production of the paper in all its various forms — print, digital, web, social media, etc. Jennifer's undergraduate work is in communication from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Her graduate degree is in theological studies from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham. She spent two and a half years serving the Caribbean in a short-term missions role through the Southern Baptist Convention before joining the state Baptist paper staff. She has served on the boards of other national professional organizations and has won numerous awards for her work through the years.
