Associated Church Press member publication Broadview Magazine has been nominated for five awards in the 2020 Canadian National Magazine Awards.
In addition to being nominated in the Personal Journalism, Illustration (x2), Photojournalism & Photo Essay categories, editor and publisher Jocelyn Bell, who also serves on the ACP Board, has been nominated in the Editor Grand Prix category for her work in shepherding the publication from it’s previous incarnation as the United Church Observer to Broadview Magazine over the past year.
“The complete re-visioning of Broadview magazine in 2019 was a huge undertaking that required strong editorial leadership, and Jocelyn Bell delivered. The magazine’s look and feel, the quality of its content, and its digital presence are greater than ever. The degree of difficulty in transforming Canada’s longest-publishing magazine was high, and it’s clear that her entire team and the magazine’s readers have roundly supported her vision for success.” NMA Jury
The National Magazine Awards will announce winners of this year’s contest in June.
