Entries for the 2023 Best of the Church Press contest are now open!
Each year, the Associated Church Press honors faith communicators’ best work with the ACP “Best of the Church Press” awards. New and established newspapers, magazines, journals, news services, newsletters, blogs and websites earn recognition for the work they do, along with the many excellent entries in design, social media and visual communications.
The religious landscape has changed drastically in the past few years and the role of faith-based journalism has changed along with it. From the ways we gather information to the ways we distribute our message, the role of communicators has been reinvented and reimagined.
All categories are eligible for electronic submission for the 2023 awards. We will exclusively be using the online submission and payment process at https://www.judgify.me/ACP2023. Winners will be announced at our in-person convention being held in Chicago, May 17-19, 2024.
As a bonus in this years’ contest, two categories are now free to enter! Best Emerging Journalist, for young and new faith-based journalists, and Best Disapproving Letter to the Editor, to help us remember the journalistic motto that if somebody isn’t angry about what we produce, we’re probably not doing our job.
The deadline for submission is midnight Eastern Time on February 26, 2024. Full details of the categories and entry criteria are found in the downloadable contest booklet.
